Mit eigenhändiger Widmung von G. Hugnet „à Roger Lannes ces souvenirs d’un tunnel bien amicalement Georges Hugnet 6 Avril 45“. – „1940 hatte Hugnet sein Gedicht „Non voulaire“ mit einer Zeichnung von Miró veröffentlicht (siche Nr. 35). Zwei Jahre später erschien eine neue Ausgabe dieses Gedichtes, erweitert um fünfzig andere poetische Texte aus den Jahren 1940 und 1941. Hugnet widmete diesen Band Paul Eluard, der im Sommer 1942, wie Hugnet vor ihm, untertauchte und sich der Résistance anschloß. Picasso … machte für das Buch vier Tuschezeichnungen, deren Druckplatten er anschließend weiter (mit dem Grabstichel) bearbeitete: ein Portrait von Dora Maar, Tänzerin I und II sowie eine Frau im Lehnstuhl“ (S. Goeppert). – Rücken restauriert und mit Knickspuren, sonst gut erhalten.
First edition illustrated by Picasso. One of 400 numbered copies on Vergé d’Arches paper (total print run 426 copies). With a handwritten dedication by G. Hugnet: “To Roger Lannes, these memories of a tunnel, with warm regards, Georges Hugnet, April 6, 1945.” – “In 1940, Hugnet had published his poem ”Non voulaire“ with a drawing by Miró (see no. 35). Two years later, a new edition of this poem was published, expanded to include fifty other poetic texts from 1940 and 1941. Hugnet dedicated this volume to Paul Eluard, who, like Hugnet before him, went into hiding in the summer of 1942 and joined the Resistance. Picasso … made four ink drawings for the book, whose printing plates he then further worked on (with a graver): a portrait of Dora Maar, Dancer I and II, and a Woman in an Armchair“ (S. Goeppert). – Spine restored and with crease marks, otherwise well preserved.
