In every issue of his magazine Mes Modèles (1905-1914), he recounted the improbable and fantastical adventures of girls, some more exotic than others, who came to his studio. It was he who had the novel idea of showing the girls first clothed and then nakedan idea that was then widely taken up and exploited by other photographers. In these photographs, contrary to normal practice, the model’s pubic hair was always to norrm always visible“ (A.
