In the first part of the work, images of female nudes taken in the 1940s are shown in stifling Victorian interiors; they evoke the language of the cinema of the time, as well as the Surrealist aesthetic. … By contrast, the series of photographs tken in the 1950s for the second part … suggests the contemporary artistic experiments of Jean Arp and Henry Moore. This series revolutionizes the language of photography, and creates something absoletely new“ (A.
