Die Gesellschaft veröffentlichte Kunstblätter und Monographien. – Die Photographien zeigen mittelalterliche Steinschnitt-Tafeln. – Rücken restauriert, Deckel angestaubt, berieben u. etwas bestoßen, sonst gutes sauberes Exemplar aus der Bibliothek des irischen Bierbrauers und Kunstsammlers William Horatio Crawford (1815-1888) mit dessen Wappen-Exlibris. Crawfords bedeutende Kunstsammlung bildete den Grundstock der Crawford Art Gallery in Cork. – Only edition. – The first art history book illustrated with photographs – The Arundel Society, named after the art collector Thomas Earl of Arundel, was founded in London in 1848. The society published art sheets and monographs. – The photographs show medieval stone carving panels. – Spine restored, covers dusty, rubbed and somewhat bumped, otherwise a good clean copy from the library of the Irish brewer and art collector William Horatio Crawford (1815-1888) with his armorial bookplate. Crawford’s important art collection formed the basis of the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork.
