Titeled Zeme a lidé, … Melantrich re-issued the volume with English text the following year under the title Land and People: Photographs of Czechoslovakia. It is perhaps the best of many photographic books of this era which directly celebrate the renewed spirit of the Czechoslovak nation and its culture“ (J.
